<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: when a brake switch is turned on and a clutch is simultaneously disconnected while a vehicle runs on a slope, there may exist fine slip-down on the slope so that the clutch is disconnected before generating required braking force necessary for braking the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A hydraulic-mechanical transmission comprises a hydraulic transmitting portion using a hydraulic continuously-variable transmission mechanism (HST21), a differential mechanism (10) using a planetary gear connected with both the hydraulic transmitting portion and a mechanical transmitting portion, and clutches (13 and 14) performing a speed change mode switching function between a hydraulic speed change mode and a hydraulic mechanical speed change mode and a primary clutch function. After starting stepping motions of a brake pedal 35, the clutches (13 and 14) are released to block transmission of braking force when required braking force necessary for braking a vehicle is generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
