<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid oxide fuel cell system capable of improving battery performance and capable of properly and stably supplying inactive gas to a fuel electrode. <P>SOLUTION: During operation of a solid oxide fuel cell body 11, an air separator 15 separates air into nitrogen and oxygen. A part of the separated nitrogen is supplied to a fuel cell cooling equipment 14 to cool a battery cell 12 of the solid oxide fuel cell body 11, while a remaining nitrogen is stored in a liquid nitrogen storage tank 17 as a liquid nitrogen. The air separator 15 supplies the separated oxygen to an air electrode of the battery cell 12. While the operation of the solid oxide fuel cell body 11 is stopped, a fuel electrode nitrogen supply equipment 19 supplies the nitrogen stored in the liquid nitrogen storage tank 17 to a fuel electrode of the battery cell 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
