PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup-cum-cap opener which is always convenient as a container with a cap and which works as a cap opener any number of times in a clean and hygienic condition not staining content without content attached to the outside of the cap. SOLUTION: A cup 4 having an outer diameter R2 larger than the outer diameter R1 of the cap 3 screwed on a container 2 is formed with a bottom rim 5. The inside face 5a of the bottom rim 5 is formed with a locking device 6 for opening the cap 3. The cap 3 is covered with the bottom rim 5 of the cup 4, the cup 4 being held by fingers is turned in an opening direction, and the cap 3 is opened and released from the container 2. Because it is opened by the cup whose diameter is larger than the diameter of the cap, even a child, an old person, or a woman who is weak can easily open the cap. In addition, because no content is attached to the outside of the cap or the content is not stained, this can be used as a clean and hygienic cap opener any number of times always having the convenience as a container.
