PROCESS FOR PRODUCING OPTICALLY ACTIVE FLURBIPROFEN

<p>A process for producing optically active flurbiprofen. The process comprises: a step in which a racemic modification of flurbiprofen is mixed with (S)- or (R)-3-methyl-2-phenylbutylamine in an organic solvent to obtain a diastereomeric salt; and a step in which the diastereomeric salt is treated with an acid in a second solvent. The process does not necessitate repetitions of a procedure for optical resolution, and flurbiprofen having a desired absolute configuration can be produced extremely efficiently.</p>
