<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recognizing device which establishes a technique for recognizing an image more precisely, and also provide an image learning device thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The image recognizing device is provided with an image-generating apparatus 3 which generates the image of an object 5, a projector 2 which projects the image generated by the image-generating apparatus 3 to a nonlinear eigenspace, and a manifold proximity degree calculator 1 which calculates the proximity degree to the manifold 9 of the object 5, which is generated in the projection point P' of the nonlinear eigenspace N and the nonlinear eigenspace N. The features of a figure are precisely expressed, and the recognition of the image and the accuracy in identification are doubly and synergetically improved by changing the known linear conversion technique to the nonlinear conversion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
