<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming device wherein color reproduction at the time of printing in a toner-save mode is easily confirmed. <P>SOLUTION: When the color image forming device is set to a high toner-save mode of a high saving rate by mode selection keys on an operation part, it is judged whether a color reproduction confirmation key is pressed (ST1), and when NO, normal processing is carried out in a high toner-save mode (ST5). When YES, a sample image is selected among the images stored in an image memory (ST2). After the selection, the selected image is printed on a recording paper in a low toner-save mode at a low saving rate (ST3), and following this, the selected image is printed on the same recording paper in the high toner-save mode (ST4). Thus, the color reproduction at the time of printing in the high toner-save mode is simply and surely confirmed by comparing the images printed in both modes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
