PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect exposure correction intended by a user on an image obtained by combining high sensitivity image data with low sensitivity pixel data. SOLUTION: A digital camera is provided with a solid-state image pickup element 11 having high sensitivity pixels and low sensitivity pixels, an inputting means 21 for an exposure correction value, and a digital signal processing part 26 for combining high sensitivity image data picked up by the high sensitivity pixels with low sensitivity image data picked up by the low sensitivity pixels under an exposure amount based on the exposure correction value inputted by the inputting means 21 to generate a combined image and for changing the width/narrowness of a dynamic range of the combined image in accordance with the exposure correction value.
