PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding a thermoelectric material that can improve a yield and improve and stabilize performance, and to provide a molding apparatus used therefor. SOLUTION: The thermoelectric material 15 is sandwiched between an installation surface 12a and the pressure surface 13a of the molding apparatus 10 and pressed, and then the thermoelectric material 15 is drawn orthogonal to the pressing direction to be formed in a specified shape. At this time, sheet materials 16a and 16b which serve as resistance against the drawing of the thermoelectric material 15 are provided on both ends of the surface of the thermoelectric material 15 in the drawing direction of the thermoelectric material 15. Further, a sheet material 26 which reduces friction is provided at a specified part which comes into contact with an installation surface 12a etc., on the surface of a thermoelectric material 25 etc. Further, a cylindrical metal mold 51 of the molding apparatus 50 is formed with taking-out holes 55a and 55b for taking the sheet material 16a etc., out of a recess 51a for molding.
