The mounting frame (1) is assembled from longitudinal frame elements (2) and transverse frame elements (3) and supported on frame mountings (5), with support mountings (12) for the IC engine positioned vertically in line with the frame mountings and spaced from the mounting frame by blocks (8) of a noise damping material. An independent claim for a manufacturing method for a mounting frame for an IC engine is also included.
