PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery having a handle for hanging in which components such as a lid or battery case can be used in an assembly process, for a higher productivity at a low cost, and also to provide such a structure of handle as a conveying personnel can easily carry during operation that accompanies hanging of the battery. SOLUTION: A spacer comprising a hooking part is placed on the upper surface of the battery. The bottom surface of the battery and the upper surface of the spacer are wound with a band material to bind the battery and the spacer. The hooking part is attached with a handle member for hanging. To allow stacking of the batteries, the spacer is preferred to be provided with a stage part whose height is equal to or higher than a terminal part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
