PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair type massage apparatus for giving medical treatment to a desired position of a specified region of the body such as the upper arm of each person to be treated in his desired seated state regardless of a physical constitution of each treated person for a plurality of persons to be treated having different physical constitutions, and a massage machine for regionals used for the chair type massage apparatus. SOLUTION: This chair type massage apparatus 1 is composed of an apparatus body 1a shaped into a chair and the massage machines 7 for a part of the body removable from the apparatus body 1a. The apparatus body 1a is provided with armrests 5, and a fixed support projection 8 is extended from the back of the armrest 5. The massage machine 7 for a part of the body is adapted to hold a region of the body of the person to be treated such as the upper arm, and apply pressing stimulation to the body region, and mounted on the apparatus body 1a by clamping the fixed support projection 8 when out of use.
