METHOD FOR STORING AND OPERATING POSITION INFORMATION IN MOBILE TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A method for storing and operating position information in a mobile terminal is provided to allow a user to quickly search a desired location by comparing a current position of a mobile terminal and a position information stored in a memory unit. CONSTITUTION: When a mobile terminal inputs a command for downloading mobile terminal position information(300), a controller requests an exchange to extract mobile terminal position information(305). The exchange transmits the mobile terminal position information to a mobile terminal from a determination server(310), and a mobile terminal controller outputs the mobile terminal position information on a display unit(315). The mobile terminal determines whether to store the mobile terminal position information in a memory unit(320). If the mobile terminal position information is determined to be stored in the memory unit(335), the controller selects a storage region of the memory unit(340). The controller stores the mobile terminal position information in the storage region of the memory unit(345).
