PURPOSE: A system and method for providing route information by using a plurality of destination coordinates is provided to establish a plurality of destination coordinates in case that a plurality of entrance points of a destination exist, to calculate the shortest distance from the departure place, and to create route information. CONSTITUTION: A route information request signal, sent from a mobile terminal(100), is transmitted to an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(300) through a BTS(Base Station Transceiver System)/BSC(Base Station Controller)(200). The destination extrinsic information request information transmitted from the mobile terminal(100) is transmitted to a route information provisioning system(600) via the BTS/BSC(200), a PDSN(Packet Data Service Node)(400), and a DCN(Data Core Network)(500). The route information provisioning system(600) previously collects estimated destinations, grasps detailed destination coordinates for each destination, and stores them in a database. The route information provisioning system(600), if the route information request signal containing destination information is received from the mobile terminal(100), searches the database for the destination and confirms whether the destination has a plurality of detailed destination coordinates. |
