PURPOSE: A back light assembly of a liquid crystal display is provided to fix a lamp, a light guide plate and a sheet at once to simplify a back light assembling process. CONSTITUTION: A back light assembly of a liquid crystal display includes a pair of lamp assemblies(34), at least one light guide, a diffusion sheet(36) and a pair of guide pieces(38). Each of lamp assemblies include an L-shaped lamp(32) and a lamp holder(30). The light guide is surrounded by the pair of lamp assemblies. The diffusion sheet is placed on the light guide. The pair of guide pieces are located around the lamp assemblies to fix the lamp assemblies, light guide and diffusion sheet at once. The lamp holder is formed at both ends of the L-shaped lamp. The guide pieces have a specific thickness and includes a bent body and a hole with a predetermined depth formed in the upper side of the body.
