<p>A beverage can closure assembly (10) comprising a can top member (12) including a peripheral rim (16) and formed with an access aperture (26) therethrough, a closure member (28), hermetically installed in the access aperture (26), the closure member (28), hermetically installed in the acces aperture (26), the closure member comprising a lid (40) which may be selectively opened and closed to respectively provide and block access to a bore (36) formed through the closure member (28), and a can body (14) comprising a peripheral side wall (15) and a bottom surface (17), which define a volume (19) for storing contents therein, and a deformable lip (20) at an upper end (22) thereof spaced from the bottom surface (17), wherein the can top member (12) is affixed to the upper end (22) of the can body (14) by deformation of the deformable lip over the rim of the can top member (12). The deformable lip may be pressed over the rim to form a fluid-tight seal therewith.</p> |
