ELECTRONIC IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD, AND PROGRAM FOR MAKING COMPUTER IMPLEMENT THIS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an electronic image (specifically two-dimensional barcode or the like) that allows the transaction of a merchandise or a business from being used illicitly by unauthorized people, by displaying the image on the display of a cellular phone read by a barcode reader at a cash register.

SOLUTION: Upon a request from a card member 101, a card company 100 issues a two-dimensional barcode containing service conditions such as a credit limit and the term of validity. A display key composed of an enciphered ID number is added to the barcode, so that an image cannot be displayed unless the card member 101 either inputs the ID number to the cellular phone in advance to create the same display key or acquires browsing software embedded with the display key. Explanation data describing the service conditions in the form of a text are also added to the barcode and this explanation cannot be displayed unless the display key matches.
