<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter self-propelling system to enable the catheter to be self-propelled by using an MRI apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The catheter self-propelling system has at least the MRI apparatus (101) to generate a magnetic field in a lumen, a catheter (200) with at least a pointed head (200a) for insertion and self-propelling power generating portions (201 and 202) on the distal end to generate the self-propelling power for a self-propelled movement based on the magnetic field, and a processing device (104) equipped with a controlling portion to control electric current to be supplied to the self-propelling power generating portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
