PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material feeding device capable of surely adjusting a position of a lateral resist even when a thick and long sheet material is carried on a carrying path, and an image forming device equipped with the sheet material feeding device. SOLUTION: The sheet material feeding device is provided with a sheet material carrying means for carrying a sheet material; a pair of sheet material guiding means for guiding both faces of the sheet material; and a pair of sheet material lateral position adjusting means for adjusting the lateral position of the sheet material carried along the sheet material guiding means by the sheet material carrying means, by pressing the both-side end portions of the sheet material in the lateral direction by a pressing member that can be moved in the direction orthogonal with the carrying direction.
