PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pad body, retaining the flatness even in the case of filling the inside of a side cloth with easily movable granular substance, dispersing the body pressure from its initial working state, being hardly set to be used for a long period of time, having high moisture releasing property of sweat of the human body, and manufactured at a low cost. SOLUTION: This pad body 1 formed by filling the inside of the side cloth 8 with granular substance is divided into small chambers 3 by partitions 2 or small bags, and the small chamber 3 is further sub-divided into small chambers 5, 6 by a partition 4 substantially parallel to or oblique to the surface making contact with the human body. When a parallel or oblique partition is formed, the granular substance exists in the upper and lower sides of the partition, so that frictional resistance is increased on both sides of the partition to restrain the movement of the granular substance and prevent large movement. As a result, even if the load from the human body is unevenly applied to the pad or partially applied thereto, the pad is not largely recessed to retain flatness. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
