The connection (1) includes a seal (12) held in the flange or rolled portion (10) of an exhaust gas sound absorber (4). The seal has a contact surface (16) engaged to the sealing surface (14) of a catalyst or particle filter module (2). The contact surface of the seal has a large expansion value than the sealing surface of the catalyst or particle filter module. The connection is used for coupling the catalyst or particle filter module and the exhaust gas sound absorber.
