PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst having a good insect attraction function without deteriorating a photocatalytic action.

SOLUTION: The photocatalyst 4 has an ultraviolet absorption film 2 which is formed on the surface of a transparent substrate 1 and has 30% or below in transmittance of ultraviolet light of 360 nm wavelength and 70% or above in transmittance of visible light of 400-780 nm wavelength, and a photocatalyst film (visible light type photocatalyst film) 3 which is formed on the ultraviolet absorption film 2 and exhibits a decomposition reaction in the visible light region. The photocatalyst 4 is formed on the valve outer surfaces of various lamps and on the outer surface of the transparent cover of lighting equipment.
