PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely lubricate a transmission for a vehicle (forward and reverse change-over mechanism for a continuously variable automatic transmission) by automatically changing the distribution of a lubricating oil fed into a forward clutch and a planetary gear corresponding to a driving condition of the vehicle. SOLUTION: In the driving condition of the vehicle (including the case of being towed), a sun-gear S revolves, and almost all of the oil in an oil reservoir 92 formed in the sun-gear is fed into an pinion via oil passages 96 and 97 with a centrifugal force based on the revolution. In a neutral control, much lubricating oil is required owing to a slip state of the forward clutch C1, but the sungear S is in a halt condition, and almost all of the oil in the oil reservoir 92 overflows a gate part 95 to feed into the forward clutch C1 without flowing through the oil passages 96 and 97.
