PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy-saving fixing device, which shortens the heating start time of the fixing device, and which shortens the first copying time and so forth. SOLUTION: The fixing device for fixing an image on a recording medium by heat and pressure includes two heater rollers 2 for nipping the recording medium and an exciting coil 1 arranged interlinked with the two rollers 2, in which the exciting coil 1 heats the vicinity of the nip part of the two heater rollers 2.
