PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mixed particles having excellent fluidity and dispersibility. SOLUTION: The mixed particles consist of larger diameter silica particles having an average primary particle diameter of 60 to 1,000 nm and smaller diameter particles having an average primary particle diameter of 3 to 30 nm. The ratio between the specific surface areas of particles classified into upper and lower parts by air current classification is≤±20%. The mixed particles preferably have a bulk density of 100 to 300 g/l and a coverage of 1.0 to 30%, and are suitable for use as an anti-blocking agent for a plastic film or sheet, an external or internal additive for an electrophotographic toner, or an additive for the surface protection layer or charge transport layer of an electrophotographic photoreceptor.
