SYSTEM FOR MANUFACTURING AROMATIC POLYCARBONATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long term stable manufacturing system for high quality aromatic polycarbonates by a melting method with a high polymerization rate, excellent mechanical properties and little fluctuation in molecular weight without using a large amount of an inert gas. SOLUTION: The manufacturing system for aromatic polycarbonates by a reaction of aromatic hydroxy compounds and diaryl carbonates providing fused prepolymers of the aromatic polycarbonates followed by treatment with an inert gas under a predetermined pressure to absorb the inert gas in the fused prepolymers using an absorption apparatus (1) and a polymerization vessel (10) to polymerize the inert gas-absorbed fused prepolymers.
