PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable fine adjustment of an opening condition of a pair of forceps to be performed and various procedures using a biopsy forceps to be easily taken. SOLUTION: The operating part 4 of biopsy forceps 2 is equipped with a shaft-like member 8, a ring-like finger grip part 10 fixed to the member 8 and a slider 12 which is connected to the shaft-like member 8 in a freely slidable manner. A connecting wire 6 is made up of a sheathed pipe 602 and a wire 604 introduced into the sheathed pipe 602, and the end part of the wire 604 is introduced into the shaft-like member 8 and a connector 14 is attached to the wire 604. In addition, a recessed groove 16 is extensively formed in the shaft-like member 8 and has a first rack 18 formed at the bottom. Further, a protrusion which is to be engaged with the recessed groove 16 is formed in the inner peripheral face of the slider 12 and a second rack 26 is formed on the tip part of the protrusion. Besides, a pinion 34 is supported on the tip part of the connector 14 in a freely rotating manner. The pinion 34 is constantly engaged with the first rack 18 and the second rack 26. |
