PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope having a locking mechanism by which an end cover can be freely removably, easily, and firmly locked to an end portion with high positioning accuracy. SOLUTION: An inserted part 2 has an end portion 5 constructed of a rigid end portion main body 8 fitted with an objective lens 10, etc., and an end cover 9 freely removably mounted on the end portion main body 8, the end cover 9 consisting of an end cover main body 26 made from an elastic material and a rigid insert part 28 molded integrally with the inside of the end of the cover main body 26; a locking recess 33 is formed in the insert part 28, and an L- shaped locking projection 32 is formed on the end face of the end portion main body 8, so that a structure is obtained which can firmly lock the end cover 9 to the end portion main body 8 through a simple operation with high positioning accuracy by fitting the locking projection 32 into the locking recess 33. |
