PURPOSE: A system and method for supplying knowledge and for developing product are provided to service a knowledge on a communication network such as the Internet and to make the knowledge be operated in a customized method managing system according to objected products by linking a method innovation with a systematic knowledge management. CONSTITUTION: A user hierarchy(10) classifies users who use a specific phase of a work flow by a work and business characteristic of each user who uses a knowledge and a role according to work flow responded to the knowledge. An application hierarchy(12) comprises a special knowledge managing module for creating, constructing, and managing a predetermined special knowledge, a product developing method module for managing a product developing project, a user managing module for managing a user or a user member store defined in the user hierarchy(10), a search engine device capable of searching a knowledge, a work flow, and a database, and a security/certification device for charging an access and a control of a user and a control of various kinds of systems. A database hierarchy(14) includes a knowledge database systematically constructing various kinds of basic element techniques necessary for the total process of a product development, a development support information database systematically constructing various information and standards for supporting a product development, a product development guide database systematically constructing work flow and project information knowledge according to products and commodities, and a development supporting tool box having various programs being used in a product development.
