PURPOSE: An operation method of a treadmill is provided to run like running on a ground by synchronizing a belt transferring speed of a treadmill with a speed by which a user wants to run and improve an exercising effect. CONSTITUTION: The method for controlling a treadmill includes the steps of: inputting user's weight to a controlling unit; supplying current to a motor through AC power source unit, current rectifying unit, and a switching unit; feedbacking for detecting data of varied value of belt transferring speed from a speed detector and transferring the data to the controlling unit; reading the data by analyzing waveform of the varied value; storing a current value in present and revolving times of motor without variation of user's exercising value, and returning to the feedback step; predicting a moving speed by the read changed-speed value and the inputted weight data ; changing motor-rotated speed; blocking a power supply and finishing the treadmill by performing a power blocking unit; storing the current value and a motor-rotating times; and sequentially changing the motor-rotated speed according to the user's exercising value variation.
