发明名称 METHOD OF PRODUCING HYPOCHLOROUS ACID SOLUTION, AND UTILIZING METHOD THEREOF
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyzer where the anode and cathode used for electrolysis are excellent in durability and a hypochlorous acid solution is produced with high efficiency, to provide a method of producing a hypochlorous acid solution using the electrolyzer, and to provide a utilizing method thereof. SOLUTION: The surface of titanium as a base material is previously provided with a titanium oxide layer with a thickness of 0.5 to 50μm by the joined use of atmospheric firing and electrolytic oxidation; its surface is coated with an electrode catalyst-coated layer with platinum and iridium oxide as electrode catalysts and titanium oxide as a carrier; and final sintering is performed at a temperature equal to or above the firing temperature at which the electrode catalyst-coated layer is provided. The formed electrodes improved in the electrolytic efficiency of a hypochlorous acid solution and having resistance to reverse conducting are used for the anode and cathode, and electrolysis is performed. The cathode is arranged at the lower side and the anode at the upper side, and the feed of salt water to the anode by the stirring action by the gas lift of gaseous hydrogen generated at the cathode and the reduction caused by the cathode of the formed hypochlorous acid solution are attained. Also, the pH in the electrolyte is controlled to obtain the electrolyzer high in electrolytic efficiency. The formed hypochlorous acid solution is freezed and is used, e.g. for discoloring.
