The method involves feeding supply air into a fire source in a living or work space (10) at vacuum state, prior to spraying the fire extinguishing agent in fog like form into the fire source. The supply air may be introduced through a swinging vane (13) at the window front (12) of the work space. An Independent claim is also included for a fire fighting apparatus.
