PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detector in which malfunctions due to falling of a dry cell cannot happen without the risk of falling of the dry cell even if a cover main body is turned over or the like. SOLUTION: The detector 1 is composed of a base main body 2 fixed to an attaching surface and the cover main body 3 freely attachably and detachably connected to the base main body 2 by a turning operation. The cover main body 3 incorporates a detection means and a battery housing recessed part 15 for housing the dry cell 14 is formed on a back surface facing the base main body 2.
