PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load member for a face seal capable of reducing the potential for elastomeric set which may occur after a period of use. SOLUTION: The load member 38 disposed in the tilted portion of a seal ring comprises a biasing member 56 formed in an annulus.
