PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic program guide menu generating apparatus capable of selectively displaying any one of program data of a plurality of the same channels in a state wherein a plurality of tuner devices are connected to the generating apparatus and a plurality of the tuner devices can receive the same channel. SOLUTION: A BS tuner device 1 connected to a CS tuner device 2 and a BS and CS tuner device 4 via a cable 9 includes: a tuner device searching means, a channel information acquisition means; a tuner device list generating means; a program information acquisition means; and an EPG menu generating means. The device 1 searches information of connected tuner devices, acquires channel information receivable by the searched tuner devices, and generates a tuner device list denoting receivable channels by each acquired channel. The device 1 selects one tuner device by each channel from the list, acquires program information from the tuner device, and generates an EPG menu for displaying the program information.
