<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive roller restraining the dispersion of a resistance value to be small, having a conductivity in a semiconductive region (intermediate region resistance value) of 10<SP>5</SP>to 10<SP>11</SP>Ω in terms of an electric resistance value and useful for electrophotography. <P>SOLUTION: The conductive roller is equipped with a conductive shaft 11A, a shaft coating resin layer 21A provided on the outer circumference of the shaft 11A, and a cylindrical elastic body 31A provided on the outer circumference of the layer 21A. The elastic body 31A is prevented from coming into contact with the shaft 11A by the resin layer 21A. The volume resistivity of the elastic body 31A is ≤10<SP>5</SP>Ωcm and the volume resistivity of the layer 21A is set to 10<SP>5</SP>to 10<SP>11</SP>Ωcm, which is higher than the volume resistivity of the elastic body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
