<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mainly prevent a deterioration in communication efficiency which occurs by fragmenting transmission of non-real time packet data only with information on a transmitting side. <P>SOLUTION: In the present invention, by providing a DLCI unit showing a transmission destination of a frame relay network with an adjacency information table for storing a line speed (band information) of the opposite device, a fragment size of a non-real time packet is determined for a destination DLCI unit, a packet size that can be transmitted between transmission intervals is determined, and the non-real time packet is divided into this size (fragment size) to be transmitted. This prevents delay of a real time packet arrival interval and an occurrence of congestion at a receiving side and improves the communication efficiency of the non-real time packet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
