PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of reducing cost of a guide rail and to provide its rail connection device. SOLUTION: The guide rail 2 has a plurality of ordinary rail members 4 joined along the direction of rise of a car and a counterweight and at least one support rail member 5, and cross sectional area of the support rail member 5 is larger than cross sectional area of the ordinary rail member 4.
