<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a networked printer system and a printer therefor, in which confidential printing can be made to be conducted by inputting authentication information (a password, and the like) through voice input. <P>SOLUTION: A personal computer 2 transmits print data including the password for authenticating text data added to the print data. A printer 1 stores the print data and the password on a print data storage part 13 and an identification information storage part 14. When the password is inputted by voice, a voice recognition part 20 converts it into text data.
