<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing density unevenness of an image and improving quality of the image. <P>SOLUTION: An LED array controlling part 34 for driving and controlling an LED print head 7 is composed of a characteristic data storing part 35, a driving electric current correcting data operating part 39, an image signal processing part 42, a control signal generating part 43 and an image data correcting and operating part 44. The characteristic data storing part 35 stores a plurality of characteristic data measured in advance in relation to an individual LED element constituting an LED array 31. The driving electric current correcting data operating part 39 reads out the characteristic data stored in the characteristic data storing part 35 and calculates driving electric current correcting data P. The image data correcting and operating part 44 uses the driving electric current correcting data P outputted from the driving electric current correcting data operating part 39 and corrects the image data outputted from the image signal processing part 42, and the corrected image data are outputted to the LED print head 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
