PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic fire extinguisher for a dust collector which is capable of rapidly/reliably detecting a fire and automatically extinguishing it with a simple structure against the fire in the dust collector which is caused by dust generated during laser work. SOLUTION: In the automatic fire extinguisher for the dust collector, one end of a hose member 26 is connected to a vessel 8 for housing the extinguishing material outside the dust collector, and enters into filters 4 in the dust collector. The other end of the hose member 26 is closed. One end of a wire member 28 is connected to a valve 28A of the vessel 8 for housing the extinguishing material outside the dust collector 1, and spread over the filters 4 in the dust collector 1.
