PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring a headrest back to a normal position without requiring return operation when there is no more need to keep the headrest close to the head of a passenger on a seat after the rear collision of a vehicle. SOLUTION: In a seat for a vehicle that moves the headrest 40 from the normal position to a position close to the head of the passenger on the seat in the rear collision of the vehicle, a movable frame 30 having the headrest 40 is movable so as to change the position of the headrest 40 between the normal position and the position close to the head of the passenger on the seat. A lock mechanism 50 for controlling the movement of the movable frame 30 is set to allow the movement of the movable frame 30 from the normal position toward the head of the passenger on the seat. On the other hand, the lock mechanism 50 is set to block the movement of the movable frame 30 in the opposite direction when a certain load is applied to the headrest 40 while allowing the movement when the load decreases.
