PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable combustion powered tool for driving fasteners protected at a nose part. SOLUTION: This tool 10 has a housing 12 having a main chamber 14, a power source 16 included in the main chamber 14 and having a combustion chamber 36 and a lower end part 28, a driving rod 67 driven toward a work from the lower end part 28 of the power source 16, the nose part 26 for guiding the rod 67 toward the work, a magazine 22 for continuously supplying a fastener 68 so as to engage with the rod 67 in a nosepiece 26 and a protective shield 73 for protecting the nosepiece 26 from the opposite side of the magazine 22.
