PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact case where clicking feeling is obtained only when closing a cover, and whose cover can be held at an optional full-opening position in the case of rotation in the direction of full opening, and whose impact accompanying engaging of a cam is not given to solid powder cosmetics such as a foundation housed inside. SOLUTION: The compact case has a cover and a case main body, houses the solid powder cosmetics such as a foundation inside of the case main body, and has the cover openable and closable. A single cam recess part is formed at one of a fixed side hinge part and a rotating side hinge part, and a single cam projection part is formed at the other part. End faces where the cam recess part and the cam projection part are formed are always in slidable contact with each other by an elastic means. When closing the cover, the recess part and the projection part engage with each other.
