PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid for an opening, which can be more surely prevented from falling from the opening. SOLUTION: This lid 10 for the opening is equipped with: a lid body 101 for the opening, which closes the openings 43 and 43 of both cotter supporting fittings 3 and 3; a pair of protrusions 102 and 102 which are erected on one surface of the lid body 101 in a mutually separated manner, which are inserted into the openings 43 and 43, and which abut on the peripheral parts of the openings 43 and 43; an expansion/contraction part 103 which is laid between the protrusions 102 and 102 and can adjust expansion/contraction; and a holding means 104 for making the expansion/contraction part 103 held in the state of being expanded up to a length almost equal to or equal to/greater than a length between the protrusions 102 and 102.
