The hinge, for a swing panel (1) on a swing axis (2), and especially the flap for an appliance housing, has the swing axis at a slide (3) with a linear movement against a carrier (4). A lever mechanism (6), without teeth, couples a swing movement of the panel and a sliding movement of the slide. The lever mechanism has a swing lever (7) mounted on a pivot axis (8) at the panel, at a gap from the swing axis and on a bearing axis (9) at the carrier. A spring (14) and contour (11) lock the panel in the open and closed positions.
