LONG CHAIN BRANCHED ALPHA-OLEFIN/CYCLOOLEFIN/DIENE COPOLYMER AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Provided are an alpha-olefin/cycloolefin/diene random copolymer having long chain branch of at least 3 carbons, which has impact resistance and heat resistance without gelling, and a method for preparing the same. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (i) adding at least one metallocene catalyst and cocatalyst to a mixture of alpha-olein, cycloolefin, and diene monomers, to prepare an alpha-olefin/cycloolefin/diene terpolymer having active vinyl group, and (ii) adding a metallocene catalyst and a cocatalyst to a product of the step(i) and unreacted mixture and successively polymerizing the materials, so as to prepare an alpha-olefin-cycloolefin/diene random copolymer. The step(ii) is performed in the same reactor or other reactor as that of the step(i).
