<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently carry out good cooling by preventing excessive cooling of a cleaning unit CU and a fixing device 25 in a miniaturized image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A cooling passage 29 provided as a cooling means for the cleaning unit CU is partitioned by a plurality of flow quantity adjusting plates 226 which form different passage spacings to each other in accordance with the original air quantity distribution in the width direction of the passage of the cooling passage 29. Thereby the air quantity distribution in the width direction of the passage of the cooling passage 29 is made approximately uniform.
