The present invention provides an easy and cheap to construct flashlight (10), intended to be disposable after the batteries (110, 120) have been drained. It is constructed from a housing (75, 85), two standard batteries (110, 120), a lamp (100) and a user-operable pressure switch (130). The batteries each have an end terminal (111) and a casing terminal, are so arranged that an opposite terminal of each is in direct contact with the lamp (100) and are preferably in an offset, side-by-side relationship. The pressure switch (130) is so designed that the lighting circuit is completed when pressure is employed on a deformable part of the housing (75, 85). |
