PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic molding having strength comparable to that of a conventional one, excellent in fire resistance, frost damage resistance and workability, and excellent also in lightness in weight and non-combustibility, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The lightweight inorganic molding excellent in fire resistance comprises cement, a siliceous material and a fibrous material, wherein flame resistant fibers and/or carbon fibers are contained as the fibrous material by 0.5-3.0 wt.%.
