PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic composition having improved cosmetic characteristics with respect to easy releasability from entanglement of the hair and smoothness of the hair, making the hair supple and easily handled, and improved in stickiness of a ceramide-type compound on or in a keratinous substance. SOLUTION: The cosmetic composition contains at least one amphoteric surfactant selected from an alkylamphohydroxylalkylsulfonate compound and its salt, and at least one ceramide-type compound in a cosmetically acceptable medium.
